From the Airport
Car Hire: Take advantage of the special easyJet inflight rates. Visit the Europcar desk on arrival or call +43 (0)512 206 360. Open from 7.30am-6pm Monday-Friday and 8am-noon at the weekend.

Taxi: A journey to the centre should cost 20 and takes about 15 minutes.

Insider Tip
If you've stayed out late, the best way to get home quickly and cheaply is by ASTI (1719). The taxi service picks you up at one of the main tram stations in the city and takes you directly homeand it only costs between 3.30-6.30.
Key Area
Museumstrasse is a must while sightseeing in the centre. It hosts many beautiful old buildings, such as the Höttinger Church and the Ferdinandeum Museum. Treat yourself at one of the many patisseries.

Visit the winter festival at Swarovski's Kristallwelten (Crystal Worlds) museum. This years festival is devoted to Brazilian artists from fields such as architecture, photography and design (Kristallweltenstrasse, Wattens. Tel. 0522 451 080).
Day Tripping
Pertisau –
Rent a car and head to Pertisau, a small village by Lake Achensee. The mountain region is ideal for skiing and cross-country skiing. There are also plenty of hiking trails that are well groomed in the winter.

The University of Innsbruck is the only university not in Italy where you can study Italian law and obtain the same law degree as if you had studied in Italy.
