Airport Information


  • Take advantage of the special easyJet in-flight rates and visit the Europcar desk on arrival or call +49 (0)30 634 9160.

  • The journey takes 10-20 minutes. The fare is about €12.

  • Tram 6 goes directly to the city centre and stops in front of Terminal 1, between Arrivals and Departures. In peak hours it leaves every 10 minutes and the journey takes about 15 minutes. Tickets: €2.10 (www.bsag.de). Alternatively, buy a daily travel card for €7, valid for two adults on all tram and bus lines.

  • The amazing shop Weihnachtsträum offers more than 1,000 Christmas decorative items to turn your home into a winter wonderland (45 Marteburg. Tel. 042 132 3262).
  • Check out the unusual exhibition in Bremen's Focke Museum, in co-operation with the National Archeological Museum of Naples. See paintings, jewellery and bronze artworks from hundreds of years ago (from 15 December. 240 Schwachhauser Heerstrasse. Tel. 042 1699 6000).
  • One thing that all German cities have in common is the bratwurst stands you'll see everywhere. But only the locals know the best ones. Head to Martin Kiefert's, one of the stands in the main marketplace.
  • Bremen's market is the best place to be this time of the year. Stroll around on the weekend and treat yourself to some of the goodies at the numerous stands.

  • Goslar
    A picturesque little town in the Herz mountains, where the Old Town is Unesco World Cultural Heritage listed. Don't miss important sights like the Kaiserpfalz castle, marketplace and cathedral.
  • Bremen is often symbolised by a key. It is represented in the city's shield and even the city's hymn is called 'The Bremen Key'.
