Airport Information


  • The Bristol International Flyer connects the airport to Temple Meads train station, Bristol Bus Station and Clifton, with stops around the city. Tickets: £6-£7 single; £9 return (www.bristolairport.co.uk).

  • Holiday Taxis (easyJet.holidaytaxis.com) take you from home to the airport, then city or destination.

  • Visit the Europcar desk on arrival for special easyJet inflight rates.

  • A journey to the city centre costs about £25.

  • Cabot Circus is Bristol's centrepiece shopping and leisure quarter with a host of top-name stores and a 13-screen Cinema de Lux (Tel. 0117 952 9360).
  • This month visit the Bristol Wine & Food Fair (10-12 July), an event featuring wines from all over the world. Renowned wine merchants and top local restaurants offer master classes and signature dish tastings. The vibrant Bristol Harbour Festival takes place later in the month. Enjoy music, fireworks and European food markets at the Harbourside (31 July-2 August).
  • Brandon Hill is a beautiful green space, topped by a tower, built to celebrate the transatlantic explorer John Cabot. The park has spectacular views of the city and is perfect for a picnic.
  • Weston-Super-Mare is lovely seaside town in north Somerset. Breathtaking views can now be had of the bay and beyond in a new £3 million observation wheel. Visit the annual Sand Sculpture Festival (4 July-6 September).
