  • The classy little emporium A.C. Perch Tea Shop opened in 1835 and hasn't changed much - but a recent addition of a tiny teahouse above the shop lets customers enjoy delicious green rhubarb or ultra-hip white temple teas in situ (5 Kronprinsensgade).
  • The 31st edition of Copenhagen Jazz Festival takes place this month, turning the capital into a regular jazz city with concerts every day. Major artists perform at the Royal Opera, Royal Theatre, Royal Danish Playhouse, Glassalen and in Tivoli (3-12 July).
  • The popular Kronprinsensgade shopping area hosts some top Danish fashion names, including Bruuns Bazaar and Gentlemen's Affair, as well as trendy city shops Flying A and Stig P.
  • Klampenborg - dubbed the Danish Riviera - is a popular strip of white sandy beach that has a view of Sweden on one side and famed Danish architect Arne Jacobsen's Bellevue Theatre on the other. Take the train from Central station to Klampenborg, only 20 minutes away.
