Airport Information


  • A taxi into town costs about €25 and takes 25 minutes.

  • There's a free shuttle bus between the airport and the station every 15 minutes from 5am-11pm (journey time five minutes). For nearby towns there are regional trains eight times an hour from Dortmund Holzwickede station.

  • A shuttle bus travels non-stop between the airport and Dortmund central station (journey time 25 minutes). Tickets: €5; children (aged 6-14) €2. Alternatively, take bus 440 to Aplerbeck station (12 minutes), then train U47 to the centre (23 minutes). An A ticket will take you into town. The VKU bus C41 travels between Unna railway station and the terminal once an hour daily from 6.06am-10.06pm.

  • Romberg Park Botanical Gardens
    Tiptoe through the springtime blossoms with a stroll through the Romberg Park Botanical Gardens. If there's a short April shower you can always take refuge in one of the greenhouses.
