Airport Information


  • Holiday Taxis (easyJet.holidaytaxis.com) take you from home to the airport, then city or destination.

  • The 208 goes to Central station in about 35 minutes, while the 292 goes to the Old Town. Tickets: PLN2.50.

  • Visit the Europcar desk on arrival for special easyJet inflight rates.

  • A taxi costs about PLN80 to the city centre.

  • Trains leave every 30 minutes for Krakow's main station from 4.24am-00.15am. The journey takes 15 minutes. Tickets: PLN6.

  • Krakow's deep-rooted Jewish history comes alive with performances, films and exhibitions during the annual Jewish Culture Festival (until 5 July. www.jewishfestival.pl).
  • Wola Justowska is not just home to wealthy Krakovians' mansions. The Wolski Forest also offers up Krakow's best cycling and walking trails, easily accessible by public transport.
  • Tyniec's Benedictine abbey is an impressive sight in itself, but the monks are also known for their culinary skills. Rent a bike from Krakow for a leisurely day trip.

  • Fearing the worst, seven prisoners at Auschwitz, near Krakow, left a message in a bottle which was recently unearthed. At least one of the participants survived to see the note again, 65 years later.
