(Edificio Iris, Avenida Gamonal, Benalmádena Costa. )
A rude and naughty drag show that packs 'em in and gets predictably raucous. Good fun (but not for prudes). Get here early on a Saturday night as this is one of the more popular hen night venues on the coast.

This month...

  • Indulge in a little retail therapy in Torremolinos. Aside from the souvenir strip of San Miguel, top national chains are here, too, including Mango, Zara and classy Cortefiel.
  • The annual International Festival of Music and Dance is taking place in Granada with a superb line up of world class musicians and dancers coupled with seductive venues, such as the gardens of the Alhambra Palace (until 14 July. www.granadafestival.org).
  • Go for an evening stroll along Marbella's delightful promenade. If it's still warm enough, you can take a dip in the sea, as well. Reward yourself with a sundowner at a beachside bar.
  • Antequera is just 45 minute' drive east of Malaga and is a delightful, very Spanish town with lots of history, great tapas bars, interesting museums, churches and dolmens (prehistoric burial chambers).

Tips

  • If the most you have ever seen of Morocco is a distant glimmer when happily collapsed on a Costa sunbed, consider a visit. Morocco is a mere 14 kilometres away - and you don't have to find a magic carpet, there are regular hydrofoils and ferries from Tarifa and Algeciras.
