  • A vast circular room, La Maison du Kaftan Marocain specialises in traditional kaftans (65 Rue Sidi El Yamani).
  • Artists, craftspeople, vendors, musicians, dancers, acrobats and fire-swallowers hold performances in every corner of the city as part of the Festival of Popular Arts (18-25 July).
  • For swift immersion into the charming chaos of Marrakech, head straight to the north medina. Walking north from the Jemaa el Fna you will go through the myriad souks and find historic sights like the Ben Youssef Medersa and Musée de Marrakech.
  • Golf and Marrakech might not seem like natural bedfellows, but Golf d'Amelkis will have you thinking again. The best looking course in the area, it also has an elegant clubhouse and professional on-site shop.

Tips

  • Towering over the Jemaa el Fna, the Koutoubia Mosque is not only the highest point in the city, it was also the model for the Giralda of Sevilla and Hassan Tower of Rabat.
