  • The first week of this month welcomes the Nuits de la Mediterranée festival, bringing the finest of world music and dancing to outdoor venues on these steamy summer nights. Mid-month, Tetouan hosts the Festival des Voix des Femmes, while Chefchaouen has its Alegria festival.

From here it's a five-minute walk to the Atlantic beach, not to mention the cocktail patio of the Mirage Hotel.
  • Near Tetouan, Rincon (Mdiq) is a Spanish-style town that boasts a long boardwalk that ends in a mountain and clean beaches, as well as a port with fresh fish barbecues that serve food until late after sunset.
