Airport Information


  • Pre-book your door-to-door transfer with easyJet's transfer partner, Holiday Taxis-from home to the airport, then city or resort (easyjet.holidaytaxis.com).

  • Buses leave every half hour from 6.30am-11.30pm. The journey takes about 40 minutes.

  • Take advantage of the special easyJet inflight rates. Visit the Europcar desk on arrival or call +39 (0)11 567 8048. Open from 8am-11.30pm seven days a week.

  • A taxi to the city costs €35-€40. The journey takes about half an hour.

  • The station is a 150-metre walk from the airport. Trains to Dora station run every half hour from 6.49am-9.19pm.

  • Taberna Libraria is a bookshop where you can also sip a glass of wine and taste a number of Piedmontese specialities (5 Via Bogino. Tel. 011 836 515).
  • The Museo della Scuola (School Museum) is hosting an exhibition on children's illustrated books this month, with a selection of works published over the last century (until 26 April. Palazzo Barolo, 7 Via delle Orfane. Tel. 011 371 6661).
  • The Palavela Olympic ice rink is open to the public-don't miss the chance to skate where Plushenko and Arakawa won gold at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Skate for rent (145 Via Ventimiglia. www.torinolympicpark.org).
  • One of the biggest open-air markets in Turin is held each morning in Corso Svizzera, between Via Luigi Cibrario and Via Giacomo Medici. You'll find a fantastic mix of food, clothing, crafts and knick-knacks. Held on Saturday until 7pm.

  • Serravalle
    Head to Serravalle for one of the best outlet centres in the country. You'll find 180 internationally acclaimed brands, with discounts ranging from 30%-70% off. There are also restaurants and cafés where you can rest your weary feet.
  • The Palazzo Madama became a circuit for 1969 movie The Italian Job. Permission to film a Mini driving down the staircase was given due to an error in translation-in Italian, car and camera are both macchina.
