Airport Information


  • Holiday Taxis (easyJet.holidaytaxis.com) take you from home to the airport, then city or destination.

  • Visit the Europcar desk on arrival for special easyJet inflight rates.

  • The journey to the city centre costs €10-€15 and takes about 20 minutes.

  • Metro lines 3 and 5 run straight to the city centre (Colón) from just outside Arrivals. The journey takes about 25 minutes. Tickets: €1.80

  • For unusual clothes, head to Skunkfunk Concept Store. There may be others, but this branch of the Basque clothing store, in the Mercado de Fuencarral, has some of its wildest creations to date (16 Calle Tirso de Molina. Tel. 963 487 478).
  • Every year the Parque de Viveros, Valencia's lush botanical gardens in the centre of town, holds the Feria de Julio live music extravaganza. Top acts from Spain and abroad include Chambao, Miguel Bosè, Anastacia and James Taylor. (2-25 July. www.feriadejulio.com)
  • Head south-west to the town of Cofrentes and take the spectacular boat ride along the Júcar River to Cortes de Pallás (www.rutafluvial.es, Spanish only).
  • Just over 65 kilometres south of Valencia, Gandía is renowned for its golden sandy beaches and is home to some of the best seafood restaurants in the whole of the region.

  • In an attempt to crack down on reckless double parking across the city, the Valencian police fined or impounded exactly 301 vehicles on the first day of a new zero tolerance campaign.
