state-of-the- art canine retreats show that when it comes t o over-the-top style,
only the best is good enough for man's best friend.

WOOFSWAGEN
Reflecting all that was good about '60s Flower Power, with peace bone
motif on the wheels, this doghouse in the shape of a Volkswagen Beetle sold for £1820.
BARK MARLEY
Handmade from bamboo, with a thatched roof, Bark Marley was designed to resemble
a typical Jamaican shanty-style house. Measuring 5ft wide and 3ft high, it sold
for £780.
BARKTHENON
Inspired by the Parthenon in Athens,
Greece, the Barkthenon incorporates a dog frieze and PVC pipe pillars. This doghouse,
weighing 400lbs, still
requires an owner (come on all you Greek shipping magna tes!).
THE WORLD IS MY OYSTER
Gidgit, a toy poodle, sits pretty in a doghouse that would have any chic metro
pooch barking with envy. It is decorated with real pearls and hand-stitched,
satin bedding, resting on a bed of imported Italian tiles.
It fetched £1820 at auction
HUMMER
Make no bones about it; this 3-D model of a Hummer is just the thing for the
moneyed mongrel. Made from fibreglass, this doghouse was bought by famous American
basketball player Matt Geiger, for £2340.
FIFI
The secret life of Fifi the Circus Dog—this Perspex and wood doghouse
was designed especially with this tennis ball-loving dog in mind, complete with
secret pockets to conceal his balls. It sold for £780.
